Mt. Pete from the North.

Mt. Pete is just south of Enumclaw, SW from the fairgrounds. The North side of the substantial hill is a State Park with a nice steep trail. Near the summit, it links up with an old road which gains the hill from the South (the entrance to the road is private). A last bit of up on the road, or following a cut-off trail, and you get to the top, with some old footings.. a radio tower? A lookout? We don't know. There was a funny and fun summit register there when we opened our season with this hike, just like we started out last year. Except we're in maybe a little better shape this time.
